Summer Volunteer Opportunities Now Available on the SouthCoast

Now that summer is here, it is the perfect time to get back out in the community and volunteer. Not sure how to find the right volunteer opportunity for you? United Way has you covered with Volunteer SouthCoast.

Volunteer SouthCoast has been the go-to place to find volunteer opportunities since 2013. Here, you can browse through hundreds of volunteer opportunities at non-profit organizations in Greater Fall River, Greater New Bedford, and Greater Plymouth County.

To get started, visit volunteersouthcoast.org and sign in. If you aren’t on the site yet, it only takes a few minutes to register. Once you are logged in you can search all opportunities or narrow down your search by filtering by age requirement, location, or interest. Once you find something that interests you, simply hit “respond” and your information will be sent to the organization and they will contact you to get you started.

Once you start volunteering, don’t forget to log your volunteer hours and impact. This is a great tool for students with volunteer hour requirements for school or clubs or for adults looking to see their impact each year. Hours can be logged via the website or the mobile app, Volunteer Get Connected, which is free in the Apple or Google Play Store.
