Virtual Power of the Purse Is the Ultimate ‘Girls Night In’
United Way of Greater New Bedford announced on Saturday, February 13 that the annual Power of the Purse event is coming back for 2021. Women all over the SouthCoast always look forward to this ladies’ night. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the Women United team to keep this year's event virtual, it will still be a night of fun from the comfort of your own home.
The Virtual Power of the Purse event will take place on Thursday, April 29 at 8 pm. This exclusive "girl’s night in" supports the Women United's initiatives focused on early childhood development and literacy.

Last year's Virtual Power of the Purse event included a makeup tutorial, at-home skincare tips, craft cocktail demonstrations, entertainment, giveaways, the purse auction, and an after-party with a local DJ.
Tickets to the Virtual Power of the Purse event are now available HERE. General Access tickets will cost $35, while there are higher tiers available, depending on your preference. A donation of $150 will get you the VIP treatment as a Power Player. "VIPs will start the party early with an exclusive VIP Power of the Purse reception! VIPs will receive a fabulous swag bag prior to the event, be entered into a raffle to win a designer handbag, and more!"
I was lucky enough to virtually attend last year's event and it was so exciting. Everyone was so engaged in each segment and they found a way to keep everyone involved. I am so looking forward to this year.
