U.S. Court Of Appeals Reinstates Brady’s 4-Game Suspension

It's a sad day for Patriot Nation as the U.S. Appeals Court has reportedly announced that they have ruled in favor of the NFL in the league's appeal to uphold the 4-game suspension levied against Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady, as a result of his role in the Deflategate saga. 

An ESPN report quotes the court's overall ruling as follows:

"We hold that the Commissioner properly exercised his broad discretion under the collective bargaining agreement and that his procedural rulings were properly grounded in that agreement and did not deprive Brady of fundamental fairness."

 

If the league does decide to uphold the full suspension, Brady would be slated to miss the first four games of this season against the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills.

According to the a CBS Boston report, Brady now has two options if he plans to go forward with a legal battle against the suspension reinstatement. Brady could first ask that the appeal be heard by the entire second circuit of the U.S. Appeals Court. If that request is denied, he could then petition that the Supreme Court review the case.
