It's been nearly two weeks since the NFL Draft and while many may not know or even care who was drafted, one thing that is remembered from the night is the prank call that is now costing the culprits hundreds of thousands of dollars.

New England Patriots legend Tom Brady has reached out to prank call victim Shedeur Sanders, son of Deion Sanders, about the draft and his sixth-round selection.

"I actually texted Shedeur cause I know him very well," Brady said during a podcast interview. "I said, 'Dude, whatever happens, wherever you go, that's your first day. Day 2 matters more than the draft. I was 199.'"

Brady was referring to the New England Patriots selecting him in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft, making him the 199th selection.

The Michigan alum proved that the draft number really doesn't matter. The numbers that do matter? How about 23 seasons in the NFL, seven Super Bowl rings and multiple MVP trophies, not to mention his numerous records set.

"Who could speak on it better than me on what that really means?" Brady said.

His advice to a young kid being selected late in the draft?

"Use it as motivation," he said. "You're gonna get your chances, go take advantage of it."
