Throwback Ticket Price for Heritage Museums and Gardens 50th Anniversary
Heritage Museums & Gardens is celebrating its 50th anniversary on Saturday, June 15. In honor of this special day, they are rolling back to 1969’s $1.50 admission price.
They are celebrating with a party-themed day filled with fun activities for the whole family throughout the gardens and galleries. Start your visit by making a party hat and then step into the photo booth to commemorate the moment with a funny family photo.
Get your whole team involved in a scavenger hunt throughout the grounds and galleries. Find 50 treasures – plants, autos, folk art, militaria, scrimshaw, carvings, and more – that tell the story of the museum’s first 50 years.
Grandparents, kids, and parents will want to show off their best moves at a decades-themed dance party with DJ Ooch on the Concert Lawn.
A special ceremony will be held at 1 PM with cake (while supplies last), sign the big birthday banner, play games on the Parade Field, and build a giant fort with our award-winning Imagination Playground blocks.
Bring the family for a special day to spend together. Stroll through the gardens and nature trails. Marvel at gems of the automotive world in the Auto Gallery.
Enjoy rides on the vintage carousel, and make memories that will last a lifetime. The Magnolia Café will be open for lunch, drinks, and desserts, or pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic in the gardens.
In addition, you can celebrate Father’s Day at Heritage Museums and Gardens on Sunday, June 16 with free admission for Dad.
Heritage Museums & Gardens is located at 67 Grove Street in Sandwich.
