The Nantucket Wine and Food Festival is Here

It's that time of year when we get to make plans for so many of the great food, beer and wine festivals happening here on the SouthCoast and New England.

The Nantucket Wine and Food Festival is one I have not been to yet and if I have any luck this coming weekend, I'll get to make a day date for my husband and I to shoot over on the Seastreak Fast Ferry to the island and enjoy the day there.  The festival is Friday the 15th through Tuesday the 19th.

The Facebook page for the event says that one of the festival’s missions this year is to celebrate women in the food and wine industry. The Nantucket Wine and Food festival has partnered with luxury lifestyle publication Robb Report and its female-focused publication, Muse. Some of the event's include; The Dames Déjeuner, honoring women chefs, vintners and sommeliers, and La Fête: Women in Whites, with an all-star cast of fabulous female chefs. These exciting events will feature Chefs Karen Akunowicz (Fox & the Knife), Celebrity Chef Elizabeth Falkner and many more.
