The Best and Worst Boy Band Hair From The 90’s

To some degree boy bands still exist, but the 1990's was the era of the boy band. The Backstreet Boys, N*SYNC, 98 Degrees, and about 100 more reigned the pop music kingdom.

While most of them were "dreamy", you have to admit that there was some pretty awful hair styles going around. On the other hand, some of them had awesome hair. We're here to tackle both of those things.

The Best: Nick Carter 1996-99 (Backstreet Boys)

When it comes to the "bowl-cut", no one can rock it better than BSB's youngest member, Nick Carter. He kept the look for some time, and as much as we would love to see him bring it back, we know the time has passed.

The Worst: Chris Kirkpatrick 1997 (N*SYNC)

This hair still haunts us. What was that? It was like he saw Coolio and Milli Vanilli and said to his barber, "let's do both." We're glad that this look didn't last long for Chris, and also happy to let you know that he's moved onto bigger and better things. Like what, you ask? He's a judge at a doughnut movie festival thing.

The Best: Nick Lachey (98 Degrees)

The Worst: Justin Timberlake 1997-2000 (N*SYNC)

First it was bright blonde, and then cornrows? Justin, we don't know how you ended up the way that you did, because we never would have predicted it judging from past history with style. Thank god you found your...suit and tie...and brought sexy back...ha..ha.

The Best: Lance Bass (N*SYNC)

We'renot even going to put a date on this because Lance has always had great hair. In fact, he's the only member on N*SYNC to always have the approval of the hair police. No, we are not the hair police, we are simply an affiliate of such.

The Worst: Joey Fatone 2001 ALWAYS (N*SYNC)

Yes, Lance Bass' former movie buddy. While Joey has moved on to host game shows and other television events, while in N*SYNC he could never get the hair down. Now facial hair, that's dynamite.

The Best: Ashley Parker Angel 2001 (O-Town)

We realize that O-Town was short lived, but while it was around Ashley Parker Angel had one awesome head of hair. We can't say that for the rest of his band mates, sadly.

The Worst: Jacob Underwood 2001 (O-Town)

Dreads, bro? 

The Best: Rich Cronin 1999 (LFO)

Rich Cronin was taken from us far too soon. While touring around with the Southcoast's own LFO, he rocked an awesome do. RIP.

The Worst: Kevin Richardson 1996-2001 (Backstreet Boys)

Yikes. No Kevin, no. 

The Worst: JC Chasez 2003 (N*SYNC)

Post N*SYNC JC Chasez didn't have the best of luck with hair/fashion. As a matter of fact toward the end of N*SYNC, we should have all seen this coming. Some guys can pull off the long hair, some guys can't.

The Worst: Howie Dorough 2000 (Backstreet Boys)

Another guy with long hair, and we're not sure told Howie this was a good look because it clearly is not.

The Absolute Worst: Color Me Badd 1991

Yes, this entire band was rocking horrible hairstyles.
