Taking A Babymoon

You probably know by now that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are expecting their first child this fall. And what their doing right now in anticipation of that child sounds like an awesome idea to me.

Friends of mine have done this same thing just a few year ago and I loved the idea then too. It's taking a babymoon.

Much like your honeymoon is a chance to get away together as a new couple and enjoy some quality time, the babymoon is an opportunity for soon-to-be parents to take some

time alone together before a new baby takes over their lives and robs them of sleep.

For my friends it was a 10-day trip to Hawaii at about six months pregnant. For Mila and Ashton, it was a getaway to French Polynesia. And I think a beach might be a key part of the babymoon.

Having the time to just relax with your toes in the sand, wear flowy clothes and enjoy scenic sunsets sounds like the perfect way to celebrate your impending arrival while still getting some romantic moments alone.

Not that I'm expecting or anything, but I really think whenever I am I will definitely want to take a babymoon.
