I had a chance to tour the construction site of the new Wood School today. I spoke to the Project Superintendant, Richard Senna, who told me that construction is right on schedule. He is anticipating some bad weather over the winter months, but still expects the school to be open for business for the first day of school in August of 2013...

Fairhaven is dealing with an unexpected and unpleasant surprise just days before the first day of school.  Dr. Robert Baldwin announced that the opening of Oxford School (the temporary home of the Wood School) will be delayed until the Tuesday after Labor Day.
