Spring and Summer Countdowns to Look Forward To
The recent warm-up in temperature has many itching for their spring and summertime favorites. Taking a bike ride, planting a garden, heading to the beach and many more outdoor events and activities are on the horizon.
I can't help but think of the phrase, "are we there yet?" Well, not quite, but the countdown is on.
If you need a little extra boost to help you get through the final stretch of winter weather, here are some important dates to keep in mind.

Spring Ahead
It's not officially spring, but the phrase "spring ahead" will be uttered as we get ready to move the clocks ahead for Daylight Saving Time in just nine days on March 9.
One less hour of sleep may affect you the next morning, but the struggle is worth it knowing that the days will get longer and the weather nicer.
Bring on Spring
A mere 20 days from now we will officially be in a new season with the spring equinox. Though we've caught a glimpse of mild weather, it's not official until March 20.
Before you know it, your social media feeds will be full of pictures of crocuses peeking out of the ground.
Red Sox Back in Action
Baseball fans rejoice! We are just 35 days away from Opening Day at Fenway Park on April 4. Get ready for a Fenway Frank, the seventh-inning stretch, and oh yeah, some baseball, too.
Bar hop before the game or grab a sausage from the local vendor before making your way inside the iconic ballpark. If you're attending the first home game of the season, don't forget about that Fenway chill around the fifth inning and bring a jacket.
Get Those Easter Baskets Ready
A bit later this year, Easter will be observed on Sunday, April 20. That means we're only 51 days away from a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Grab the jellybeans and Cadbury eggs, the countdown is on.
Runners, Take your Mark
Thousands of runners will be lacing up their sneakers to take part in the 129th Boston Marathon. Just 52 days away on April 21, the day after Easter, the action kicks off in Hopkinton and wraps at the finish line in Boston after a challenging 26.2 miles.
Dreaming of Summer Sunshine
Pack the swim trunks and grab your beach umbrella, there are 112 days until summer. The summer solstice hits on June 20. Before you know it, you'll have your toes in the sand, salt water in your hair and fellow New Englanders complaining about the heat and humidity.
