Spring Is Kool Kone Time in Wareham

We're New Englanders. Snow and ice on the ground? Perfect time for an ice cream cone. Sun setting after a beach day? How about some ice cream?

When it comes to ice cream, we don't discriminate. Any day is a great day for ice cream, which is why Kool Kone has been open year round now for the past several years. Now that spring has arrived, though, my ice cream need meter has admittedly gone up a few notches.

The first thing you'll notice when you return to Kool Kone this spring is that their full array of soft serve ice cream and slush is back. I haven't seen a wider variety of soft serve flavors. The coffee soft serve is a must try. One of the most unique dessert items on the Kool Kone menu is the fried banana split, dipped in sweet batter and fried to a golden brown. It won't disappoint.

Kool Kone, however, is much more than just ice cream. Don't let their name fool you; you'll find blue plate specials with burgers, hot dogs and fries. Their seafood plates are super popular, as are their steak tips and shrimp Mozambique served over a bed of rice.
