What is Viva Fall River?

Viva Fall River is a tourism initiative that aims to showcase the best of the city. The nonprofit organization offers information on the city’s rich history and proudly hosts events throughout the year to bring the people of Fall River together.

Last year, Viva Fall River brought together local businesses to hand out candy to lively trick-or-treaters with the Spooky Stroll, attracting over 100 strollers for some spooky fun.

"Last year was wonderful, it was a really great event," said Kristy DeVinney, the organizer of the event through Viva Fall River. "I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone's costumes this year, the kids have such a good time with it, it's so exciting."

This year, the organization is aiming to make this special event even better.

How to Enjoy Spooky Stroll 2023

On Tuesday, October 31st from 2 pm to 5 pm, this family-friendly and community-oriented Halloween celebration will feature trick-or-treating from over 30 local businesses and organizations in Historic Downtown Fall River for The Spooky Stroll.

“Gather your family and friends, don your most haunting costumes, and make your way to the ‘The Spooky Stroll’,” said Viva Fall River. “Whether you’re a fan of tricks or treats, this event promises an unforgettable Halloween experience for all ages.”

After picking up treats from the community, Greater Fall River RE-CREATION’s Halloween Party takes over from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

And the best part is that this event is absolutely free.

"It's free to attend and anyone who needs a candy bag can get them at Viva Maker Shop," said DeVinney. "Expect over 35 businesses set up with candy, fun Halloween displays, and everyone having a great time."

The Fall River Spooky Stroll offers a safe and exciting environment for trick-or-treating. All there's left to do is get your costumes ready.
