Where to See Fireworks on the SouthCoast and Cape Cod
The Fourth of July weekend has finally arrived here on the SouthCoast, and thankfully, Massachusetts was able to open back up in time for us to truly celebrate our independence.
With the upset of 2020, it was a bit of a depressing time, especially since fireworks weren't allowed in most cities or towns. However, this year, you are guaranteed to catch a thrilling and spectacular show no matter where you go. From Seekonk to the Cape, there are fireworks displays planned throughout this weekend and beyond.
Understandably, there are other communities that will not be holding their traditional fireworks displays for a variety of reasons. Some cities and towns are opting not to have fireworks to celebrate the Fourth of July this year, including Brockton, Freetown, Falmouth, Provincetown, Fairhaven, Sandwich and Onset/Wareham.
If you're looking for something fun to do with the family, some locations are even planning concerts, parades and more to entertain the children. For example, Seekonk Speedway will be holding a few car events before the fireworks finale, and Bridgewater will have a music and art festival as well as a carnival.
We've put together a list of communities around the area and beyond hosting fireworks. Simply pack a blanket or some lawn chairs and enjoy the vibrant display of lights as we celebrate America's birthday on the Fourth of July this Sunday.
But you don't have to wait until then – the fireworks start as soon as tomorrow night, as you can see from our list:
