Massachusetts Summer Destination Just Got Three Exciting New Rides
Some summer days are just plain hot. The kind of days where the second you step out of your car, you're already wondering how long it'll be before you're drenched in sweat. That's exactly how my visit to Seekonk Grand Prix Family Fun Center started, and let me tell you, walking into the air-conditioned arcade felt like hitting the jackpot before I had even played my first game.
The first thing that caught my attention was just how much there is to do. The arcade is packed with everything from classic games and air hockey to basketball shootouts and modern interactive games that are tough to walk away from. They even have an indoor ropes course that looked like an absolute blast for kids of all ages, making it a perfect place to cool off while still burning off some of that summer vacation energy.
Of course, once you're ready to head back outside, that's where the adventure really begins. Between the go-karts, mini golf, slick track, blaster boats (bumper boats) and everything else, there was a thrill for everybody. The blaster boats were especially refreshing on that hot afternoon as I cruised around soaking everyone else with the built-in water cannons.
The New Thrill-ogy Lives Up to the Hype
Ready for the best part? This summer, Seekonk Grand Prix has added three brand-new attractions they're calling the "Trilogy of Thrill-ogy," and each one brings something completely different to the experience.
The first is the Turbo Twister Spinning Coaster, which may look small at first glance, but don't let its size fool you. As the coaster races around each turn, the cars spin too, making every ride feel completely unpredictable and way more exciting than you'd expect.

Next up was my personal favorite: the Wave Racer Teacups. Yes, it's your classic spinning teacup ride, and yes, the intense spinning was worth every second. There was something incredibly nostalgic about it that reminded me of those classic amusement park rides I grew up loving, and sometimes simple fun really is the best kind of fun.

The third attraction is still on the way, but it's already generating plenty of excitement. Throttle Drop will launch riders high into the air before delivering that stomach-dropping free fall everyone secretly loves. If you're the type of person who lives for adrenaline, this one is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
More Than Just the Rides
One thing that really stood out during my visit was that it wasn't just about the attractions. I had the opportunity to spend some time with General Manager Victor Rodriguez, and it became obvious pretty quickly that the positive atmosphere starts with the people running the place. Rodriguez and his staff were genuinely friendly, welcoming and seemed to truly enjoy what they do, which made the entire experience feel more personal than simply showing up at an amusement park.

Whether you're climbing into a go-kart, hopping aboard a ride or just asking a question, everyone I interacted with was upbeat and eager to help. It's the kind of customer service that sticks with you long after the day is over, and it's something worth recognizing.
A Summer Day Well Spent
If the heat starts getting to you, you've got options. You can head back inside to enjoy the cool air of the arcade, grab a delicious slice of pizza and an ice-cold drink inside the Checker Flag Café, or cool off outside on the blaster boats before jumping back into the action. Between the indoor and outdoor attractions, it's easy to spend an entire afternoon here without ever running out of things to do.
At the end of the day, summer vacation is all about making memories, and Seekonk Grand Prix Family Fun Center checks all the boxes. Whether you're racing around the go-kart track with the wind in your face, laughing your way through the Wave Racer Teacups, challenging the family to mini golf or waiting to conquer the upcoming Throttle Drop, there's something here for every age.
