Sakonnet Vineyard Celebrates Memorial Day With Wine, Food and Music
Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, and we can't wait for it.
While many look forward to parades and beach days, it's important to remember why we observe the day; recognizing and mourning the brave men and women who served our country.
To honor the day of remembrance, Sakonnet Vineyard is serving up something special.
How Sakonnet Vineyard Is Honoring Veterans This Memorial Day
"While Memorial Day remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, we also pause to honor our veterans and active duty military who protect and defend our nation with a small token of gratitude for their service," Director of Operations Marissa Stashenko said.
Sakonnet Vineyard is welcoming all to sip, savor and celebrate all weekend long with complimentary tastings for veterans and active-duty military with ID.

Live Music and Family-Friendly Events at Sakonnet
“After a long winter, we’re thrilled to welcome and kick off the start of summer at Sakonnet with a celebration of wine, food, and family-friendly fun,” Stashenko said.
In addition to wines such as Vidal Blanc, Eye of the Storm Rosé and Pinot Noir, Sakonnet Vineyard will be serving up its famous lobster rolls, flatbreads, snacks and small plates.
Plus, there will be live music on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
