Volunteers from Rise Up for Homes are holding a collection of blankets for the homeless of New Bedford.

Please bring clean blankets to Sister Rise House on January 19 between 9 am and 12 pm. Half of the blankets collected will be for the guests at Sister Rose House and for those in need and the other half will be donated to Mobile Ministries to be given out from the Food truck to those in need. Blankets must be clean or new and preferably twin or double size (larger ones may be difficult to be carried).

Pass the word to family and friends!

Sister Rose Shelter is located at 71 Division Street in New Bedford. The hard cost to keep the overflow shelter open is $475 per night. That money is used for supplies, food, overhead, and security staffing to keep the shelter safe. If you would like to help keep the Sister Rose Overflow Shelter open during the winter, click HERE.
