Hippity hoppity, Easter's on its way. In just a few weeks, Peter Cottontail will be going house to house leaving sweet treats in Easter baskets and hiding eggs in the yard.

While you're out and about gathering some Easter grass, dye for the eggs or a chocolate bunny, head to a local Rhode Island favorite for a unique twist on a classic menu item.

Iggy's Doughboys and Chowder House has been serving up summertime classics since it opened its doors in 1989.

Over the last few decades, customers have enjoyed many of their popular menu items including fried clams, fish and chips, clam cakes, chowder (of course) and a signature sweet treat.

Iggy's Offers Easter Bunny Doughboys for a Limited Time

Iggy's doughboys are a delectable dessert – or if you're feeling up to it, just a snack – that so many line up to enjoy. This spring, you can pre-order these popular pastries and enjoy them on Easter weekend.

That's right, before you head to Easter brunch or host the family at your house, swing by Iggy's for a pre-Easter Sunday treat.

Order and Pickup Information

Iggy's will close its Warwick and Narragansett locations for Easter Sunday, so pickup for the bunny doughboys will be Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19.

It's not the first time these cute, festive creations have been offered by the Rhode Island restaurant. Orders can be placed online for Easter weekend pickup.

This year, however, they are able to ship their products nationwide when placing orders through Gold Belly.

This is a treat the whole family will enjoy, so take my advice and get a few orders.

Here Are 13 of Your Favorite Fried Foods

Some foods need a fryer, others should never go near one. Forget baking. We are so obsessed with eating deep-fat fried foods. And every time you turn around, there's another menu filled with most of the items that have bathed in a hot-boiling fat vat.

There seems to be no end to what a deep fat fryer can cook. And we prove it every day with our love of crispy, greasy, burnt-tongue, salty foods.

I won't argue that an order of onion rings or sweet potato fries is the best marriage partner to a burger. Especially when they are made from scratch. So, pile them high.

What are some other delights that need the fryer?
