Rhode Island Comic Con is quickly approaching, and with that, there are some guidelines to be cautious of as you prepare to immerse yourself in a world of entertainment.

If you've ever been to Comic Con, you know how exciting it is. From the moment you step in, it's like stepping into your favorite comic book, movie or TV show, transporting you into a world of cosplay.

As people gear up for the popular event, Rhode Island Comic Con is addressing some guidelines to ensure everyone can have the best experience.

Of course, one of the most significant elements of Comic Con is the element of cosplay. For weeks, and maybe even months, people prepare costumes, dressing up as their favorite characters. It's the real heart and soul of the experience.

No matter the dedication, it's important to remember that some items associated with your costumes are banned from the convention. For obvious reasons, weapons of any kind are not allowed.

In addition to banned items, the convention prohibits certain activities that are heavily frowned upon. Jumping guard rails is highly forbidden, regardless of how excited you are to see your favorite actor. In other words, you are expected to remain calm, cool and collected.

Rhode Island Comic Con will happen November 1-3 at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island.

The convention event often features a variety of events and panels, with appearances from entertainment professionals like actors, artists, writers and directors. Tickets are currently on sale.
