Authorities ID Deceased Man Found on Same Rehoboth Property as Teen’s Body
REHOBOTH (WBSM) — The identity of the man found deceased Friday on the same property where Kylee Monteiro’s body was buried has now been identified.
According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III, the victim has been identified as David Lunn, 54. Lunn was found unresponsive by a relative on September 26 just before 7 a.m. in a van on the property of 107 County Street in Rehoboth.
Lunn’s 48-year-old wife was in the van as well and was found unresponsive. The D.A.’s Office said she remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.

Two dogs were found in the van and required treatment. They have been released to the care of Rehoboth Animal Control and appear to be in good condition, the D.A.’s Office said.
What Investigators Have Revealed So Far
During the investigation, Rehoboth Police learned the couple had been living in the van on the property for a few weeks. The van is registered in Vermont.
“Upon arrival yesterday, the Rehoboth Fire Department did a carbon monoxide check of the van as it was running when the two parties were located. The result indicated no presence of carbon monoxide,” the D.A.’s Office said in a release. “Investigation revealed a possible history of substance abuse by the parties.”
Cause of Death Pending
The D.A.’s Office said the case will remain open until the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner provides a cause of death for Lunn.
Connection to the Kylee Monteiro Case
The property is the same location where police discovered the body of 18-year-old Monteiro in August, about a week after she had been reported missing. At the time of her disappearance, Monteiro was 11 weeks pregnant.

It was the residence of her boyfriend Gregory Groom, 22, who had already been arrested on charges of aggravated assault and battery on a pregnant person, domestic assault and battery, and witness intimidation. Those charges stemmed from an incident in which Monteiro allegedly went to Groom’s house to pick up her belongings and never returned.
After investigators recovered her remains, Groom was additionally charged with murder.
