Sergeant Kyle Hatch of the Quincy Police Department just got a promotion, but the internet has him going viral for a reason he probably didn't see coming.

It's not the Quincy, Massachusetts police, but you'll forgive us for thinking this could be a very "Masshole" haircut.

The Promotion Announcement That Started It All

Sgt. Hatch has served the police department in Quincy, Illinois as a patrol officer and field training officer for the past 18 years. He started the new year off with a much-deserved promotion to Sergeant.

From his photo, he appears to fit the role perfectly. The announcement on the Quincy Police Department Facebook page would have received a simple "like" from me, and I would move on. However, it's the comment section that has grabbed people's attention.

He appears to be a man of stature and authority, but the keyboard warriors have been relentless in commenting on his choice of hairstyle. Caleb Bell, for example, said, "He should give his barber a ticket."

The Comment Section Takes Center Stage

At the time of this writing, there are over 25,000 comments, and the majority are regarding his hair. Many commented that he should give tickets to everyone commenting on his choice of hairstyle.

In case you feel the need to add a witty hair comment to the thread or just want to read the comments, here is the post. I'm not enabling you, but give it your best shot.

A Lighthearted Ending to a Viral Moment

Here is my swing: "Sir, you give so many tickets away that even your hair got pulled over." Mic drop.
