Massachusetts Golf Event Honors Fallen Heroes, Raises $100K
I've been working in media for nearly two decades. Whether it's radio, television or professional sports, I've been fortunate to take part in some pretty memorable moments.
While meeting celebrities and attending events are pretty wild, there's another aspect of my job that I really enjoy: supporting and fundraising for some remarkable organizations.
On Monday, June 1, 2026, I once again had the privilege of helping raise funds for a wonderful cause, the Warrior for Life Fund.

The First Annual Tee Off For Heroes to benefit Warrior for Life Fund's golf tournament took place at Granite Links in Quincy. The beautiful course has a unique story, built atop former landfills and quarries which contained materials from Boston's "Big Dig."
It features 27 holes, multiple restaurants, event spaces and spectacular views of the Boston skyline, a gorgeous setting to cap off a day of golf and fundraising.
What Is Warrior for Life?
Celebrities, Navy SEALs, military members and the public took part in the Tee Off for Heroes tournament to raise funds for Warrior for Life. The nonprofit was founded in 2012 by Captain Ryan Croley, U.S. Navy (Retired).

The Veteran Behind Warrior for Life
A distinguished leader, veteran and dedicated advocate for the military community, Captain Croley served 26 years with the Navy SEALs.
He founded Warrior for Life in honor of the 30 American service members lost during a helicopter mission in Afghanistan in 2011. Among them was Chief Petty Officer Kevin Houston from West Hyannisport, MA.
Honoring the Legacy of Kevin Houston
In honor of Chief Petty Officer Houston, Warrior for Life will provide a $5,000 scholarship to his family as part of its continued commitment to supporting families of fallen heroes.
More Than $100,000 Raised for Military Families
In addition to the tournament entry fees, raffle prizes, and silent and live auction items, the event raised over $100,000 for Warrior for Life, allowing the nonprofit to continue to create more opportunities for active-duty service members, veterans and their families.
