This is the Seventh Annual WaterFire Salute to Honor Our Veterans this Saturday, November 2. This show will hold full lighting, music, vendors, and more. There will be a Veterans Resource Fair that will open at 3 p.m. with an arts fair, food vendors, and special performances and events starting at 5 p.m. The fires will stay lit from sunset at 5:39 p.m. until 11 p.m.

This event also includes a performance by the Army's 88th Band, and a spectacular 300-person torch salute featuring all branches of the armed forces. This will represent major conflicts spanning from WWII and the Korean War to current times. Memorial Park will, in addition, become a celebratory field of blue stars as a dedication in thanks to veterans and their families. The public is allowed to add their own light with a message of thanks.

The 80 installations of lights illuminate from Waterplace Park to Memorial/South Main Street Park.

The WaterFire Salute to Veterans event is a collaborative, community-wide celebration, with the goal being to honor and recognize all US veterans, active and reserve military personnel and families for their hard work. The event also plans to bring awareness to the community about the services available to veterans.

The attendance is estimated to be more than 75,000 people.

The main event of the WaterFire lighting will be kicked off with a Salute to Veterans Torch Procession with a Ring of Fire in the Waterplace Basin.
