Products With Sunflower Kernels Recalled For Listeria Contamination
More products are being pulled from the shelves due to a possible listeria contamination.
The US Food and Drug Administration has recalled several products containing sunflower kernals since early May, but have now expanded that recall to include products made by Maranatha, Brown & Haley and Kashi.
The products on the recall list include:
- Clif Bar products
- Quaker products
- Publix brand nut, seed and trail mix
- Navitas Naturals bar
- Planters sunflower seeds
- Sunrich Naturals
- Brown & Haley's trail mix
- Kashi granola bars
- Bear Naked granola
- Maranatha's sunflower seed butter
All products have their sunflower kernals supplied to them by SunOpta, who have pulled products since as far back as May 2015.
There have been no illnesses reported from this possible listeria contamination, but consumers with any of these products are advise to discard them or return them to the store they bought them for a full refund.
