Politician Wants To Kill Great White Sharks
Last night WCVB5 reported of a politician from Cape Cod who has an idea about how to end the shark problem for good.
Ron Beaty is a Barnstable County Commissioner proposed that a, "targeted, localized shark mitigation strategy". There have always been countless sharks on the cape in the summer, just refer to Jaws. The proposal is this, "This proposal entails use of baited drum lines being deployed near popular beaches using hooks designed to catch great white sharks," and then continued with, "Large sharks found hooked, but still alive are shot and their bodies discarded at sea".
There have been recent events happening like a shark biting into a paddle board near Marconi Beach and a shark attacked and killed a seal near Nauset Beach.
Do you agree with Ron Beaty? Tell us in the comments on our Facebook page.
