Picture-Perfect Whale Sighting Just off the Coast

Being born and raised in the New Bedford area, you are expected to know why we are called the "Whaling City." I can honestly say the New Bedford Public school system did well and I know why. That doesn't mean I have ever had the chance to see a whale up close or even from a boat for that matter.

It's bizarre, seeing as people from all over the world visit our area to do just that, go whale watching.

What a sight to see! Imagine seeing that in person. Truly a beautiful sight. This picture alone makes me want to get on a boat and see if I can have a similar experience. Either way, I'm sure this is a Fourth of July these whale watchers will never forget.
