Payless Shoes Wants To Close 100 More Stores

Payless ShoeSource announced the closing of 400 stores just a few months ago and now they want to close even more.

If you thought you're favorite Payless Shoe store was going to stick around after they announced closures in April...you may soon be disappointed.

The company is hoping to shut down another 100 locations nationwide as part of it's debt reduction plan.

On the original list were the Wareham Crossing and Market Basket Plaza in Raynham locations, and now they're trying to close another local store.

On their attempted closing list is the Dartmouth Mall location...but it may not happen just yet.

According to WCVB, Payless is still trying to work out deals with their landlords and depending on how those negotiations go...Dartmouth could close.

Iyannough Road in Hyannis and Providence Place Mall are both also under negotation.
