MSPCA Asking Heroes to ‘Pay What You Can’ During Special Adoption Event
If you have been wanting a four-legged friend but have been strapped for cash, now is your chance to get one for a price that best suits you.
The MSPCA-Angell has launched “Holding Out for a Hero”, a week-long adoption event going on now until August 13th for hard-to-place pets where adopters are encouraged to “pay what you can” for the adoption fee.
Eligible Dogs for the MSPCA Adoptathon
The MSPCA’s “Holding Out for a Hero” event is seeking loving adopters for dogs whose age, medical needs, personalities, or habits have hampered their ability to find a home of their own.
“Often these are animals whose previous home environment did not match the needs of the individual, underlining why the right home and the right hero adopter is so crucial,” said MSPCA.
From shy pets to energetic pets and senior pets, the right superhero can make a huge difference in the lives of these animals.
How Does the MSPCA “Pay What You Can” Adoptathon Work?
It’s simple. Until August 13th, in lieu of the standard adoption fee, the MSPCA asks potential adopters to pay what they can afford and the MSPCA Adoption Center staff will work with the potential adopters to identify good matches.
“Pets deemed challenging in the shelter environment can make the perfect companion when placed in a home that provides the resources that they need,” added the nonprofit.
