New England Patriots took down the
Cardinals in Arizona and took down the giant Tom Brady banner at

The banner's removal has nothing to do with Jimmy Garappolo's playing last night, but everything to do with him playing in the future.

Patriots president Jonathan Kraft spoke with 98.5 The Sports Hub before the game and said,

As the game kicks off and the season starts, the banner and the numbers will come down. Because Tom would be the last person — no one in the organization, Tom leading the pack, would want anything to take away once the games had started. But this was a way to let him know that everybody loves him and has his back and we don’t feel that he was treated fairly.”

The banner was displayed on the first day of Brady's suspension, but after apparently making their point the Patriots will have it down by today so Garappolo have to stare at it when he takes the field for the season opener this Sunday against the Dolphins.
