Gwyneth Paltrow made the most of family weekend at Brown University recently, not just visiting her undergraduate son Moses, but speaking at a sold-out event.

Brown's Family Weekend from Friday, Oct. 17, to Sunday, Oct. 19, allowed thousands of parents and family members to join students on campus for a series of performances, forums, athletic events, exhibitions, movie night and keynote speakers.

One of those speakers was none other than Gwyneth Paltrow.

Paltrow is no stranger to Rhode Island. Last August she helped her son Moses move onto campus in his freshman year and while she was in Providence, indulged in the local food scene.

Yet this past weekend's visit was more about herself than food or family.

Of course she was a part of Family Weekend with Moses, presumably seeing his classrooms, meeting classmates and taking in his campus life. She also took some time to talk about her career, her goop brand and what she called her "free bird" stage with two kids in college.

Paltrow was interviewed by Brown University President Christina H. Paxson before a sold-out crowd in Brown’s Salomon Center for Teaching on Saturday night, and she didn't disappoint.

According to Brown's website, Paltrow was asked about her favorite movie — "When Harry Met Sally"; her favorite movie she was in — "The Royal Tenenbaums"; and what her upcoming film projects were — a hint at returning to her "Iron Man" role in the future.

The pair also talked career highlights and regrets during their onstage conversation and Paltrow revealed the advice she'd give her 18-year-old self was to not be so hard on herself.

The crowd loved her time on stage and Paltrow seems to truly love the atmosphere at Brown University.
