Gwyneth Paltrow Noted “Best Lunch Of Life” in Providence

Providence has been growing into a foodie destination for years.

In 2022, Rhode Island's capitol city ranked as the 50th "top foodie city" in the U.S., but a recent celebrity visit might raise that number.

That's because none other than Gwyneth Paltrow recently called a meal in Providence "the best lunch of [her] life."

You might be wondering what brought the Goop founder to our little corner of the country and that is the same thing that brings many celebrity parents our way, their kids entering college.

Paltrow's son with former husband Chris Martin, Moses Martin, is attending Brown University this semester and Paltrow was in town to help him move in.

And apparently to sample some local fare.

Gwyneth is a big fan of posting meals and meal prep to her Instagram account and the weekend in Rhode Island ended with a few foodie posts that raved about her meals in the Ocean State.

Clearly Paltrow hit up a long standing Providence staple when she shared a photo of the Al Forno neon clock in her stories.

But it was her photo from newcomers Frank & Laurie's on Doyle Ave in Providence that came with the caption "the best lunch of my life."

Although neither picture was of what the actress actually ate, she did share some favorites from her "best lunch", highlighting the deviled eggs, cucumber salad, tomato salad, egg sandwich and hash browns.

Of course there are still plenty of beloved Providence restaurants Paltrow didn't get a chance to eat at that we're sure are ready and willing to serve her some more sensational food on future visits to see her son at school this year.
