ESPN is reporting that the NFL referee lockout could be over.  League sources are saying that if the preliminary agreement hammered out early this morning is finalized, the REAL referees COULD be in place for Sunday's games!

Many of the refs have already passed physicals or are ready to take physicals immediately. ESPN's Chris Mortensen says, however, that they would most likely need to finish this deal today to have the refs ready in time for Sunday. It's still unclear whether or not the NFL's regular officials would be able to officiate tomorrow night's Browns/Ravens game. Praise the Lord. Now we can get back to blaming the REAL referees when the Patriots lose!
