At the risk of sounding like a broken record, if you had told me that the New England Patriots would make it to the AFC Championship Game this season, I would have told you that you were off your rocker.

How could a new coach inheriting a four-win team, led by a 23-year-old, second-year quarterback even make it to the playoffs? We all saw how terrible this team was last season. It was a reach to think the Patriots would win eight or nine games. Realistically speaking, that would have doubled their win total from last season, which alone would have been incredible.

To me, this feels a whole lot like the 2001 run to the Patriots' first Super Bowl championship. Everything just seemed to go their way that year, from balls bouncing their way to the obscure "tuck rule" saving the "Snow Bowl" against the Raiders.

Now, they're one win away from the Super Bowl. All that stands in the way is the Auburn quarterback the Patriots drafted in 2019, Jarrett Stidham. They never would have dreamed they'd someday be going up against him in the AFC Championship Game.

A Patriots Hype Song Fans Can Rally Around

The one missing piece has been a Patriots hype song for fans to rally around. Now, the call has been answered.

Fun 107 tips our caps to Colly KiLLit. We especially love the fact that the hype song starts with a shot at Cam Newton declaring the 2026 Patriots as "fools gold," but the team is packing for Denver. Who's the fool now?

Take a listen to the song below. We're proudly playing it on Fun 107 this week.
