Hey parents, summer is winding down and you may be running out of ideas on how to entertain your kids. You can only pack up the car with beach toys so many times.

Thankfully, it looks like Buttonwood Park Zoo wants to help out with some new attractions that would be perfect your little adventurer.

The zoo had a rough start to the season, but now that the gates are open, it's ready to rock and roll for the following months, offering up some never-before-seen opportunities. The zoo took to Facebook to announce its brand-new evening experiences, “Deja Zoo – Escape Room Experience” and “Private After-Hours Zoo Tour,” each putting a little twist on a typical visit.

“Deja Zoo – Escape Room Experience” is an interactive adventure for up 10 players. Work together to solve puzzles and clues in order to stop your timer and earn a spot on the Buttonwood Park Zoo Hall of Fame. Since this experience happens after the zoo is closed to the public, you and your group get access to buildings that are currently closed to the public, adding an exclusive feel to the nighttime challenge. Enjoy the experience for 90 minutes at a time for $300.

If challenges aren’t your thing, the “Private After-Hours Zoo Tour” might be your style. You and nine of your friends or family members get the entire zoo to yourselves for two hours for the price of $350, with exclusive access to special exhibits and up-close and personal animal encounters.

The zoo suggests that it's "the perfect outing for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, youth groups, birthday parties, family reunions, and more."

Get the kids off Zoom for a while and experience the zoo at night for the first time at Buttonwood.
