New Netflix Series Now Filming Out On Martha’s Vineyard
Summer is right around the corner and filming season seems to be heating up across the region.
Already this year Ella McCay filmed all over Providence and a Walking Dead spinoff took over Taunton, now the area's islands are getting a turn.
Yet another Netflix series based on a popular book is shooting this week out on Martha's Vineyard, making the most of the sunshine and spring weather we've been getting.
The new series is based on beloved author Judy Blume's novel Forever and its the first adaption from megaproducer Mara Brock Akil's megadeal with the streaming service.

Like many Judy Blume books, Forever is a coming of age story. The main characters, Katherine and Michael, are high school seniors dealing with teenage sexuality and sleeping together for the first time.
In the Netflix series, Katherine will be played by Lovie Simone and Michael Cooper Jr. has been cast as the series' Michael.
Forever also boasts actress Regina King as executive producer and director of the first episode.
That however means King won't be on Martha's Vineyard this week, since filming over the next few days are for the series finale.

Crews are spending Wednesday filming around Niantic Park all day, will be the East Chop area all day on Thursday, then head to Circuit Avenue to wrap things up around that area on Friday.
Local businesses seem thrilled the crews are on the island too.
No word on if inclement weather would delay filming by a day, but if you have any time here at the end of your week, you could set sail for Martha's Vineyard and see this new series wrap up.
