Foxborough’s Super Bowl Sendoff: A Frozen Day Patriots Fans Will Never Forget
Some days stay with you forever. Sunday’s 2026 New England Patriots Super Bowl Sendoff Rally at Gillette Stadium was unforgettable.
I went with my best friend John – the same guy I’ve known since fourth grade – and his son Emmitt, who also happens to be my godson. From the moment we decided to brave the cold together, it felt like more than just a trip to a rally. It felt like something we’d be talking about for years.
The temperatures were brutal, the traffic was thick, and the walk into the stadium felt endless at times. Still, not once did we second-guess being there. Once we stepped inside Gillette Stadium, everything else faded away. The energy was undeniable, and the excitement buzzing through the crowd made every frozen limb worth it.
A First-Time, Once-in-a-Lifetime Moment
It was our first Patriots Super Bowl sendoff, and likely a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Seeing the field filled with fans, hearing alumni and players speak, and watching the traditions unfold made it feel surreal. This was a bucket-list moment, checked off in the best possible way.
A Memory Bigger Than Football
What made the day truly special wasn’t just the rally itself, but who I shared it with. Watching my godson take it all in, wide-eyed and smiling, was something I’ll never forget.
Years from now, the cold and traffic won’t matter – but this memory will. It's a day we’ll cherish forever, no matter how cold it was.
