New Bedford Woman Faces Third OUI Charge after Hitting Restaurant
NEW BEDFORD — A New Bedford woman is facing her third OUI charge after allegedly crashing her vehicle into several other cars and a North End restaurant.
Police say that at around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, Sara Silva, 40, struck several parked cars with her own vehicle on Belleville Avenue before striking the west side of M&C Cafe at 436 Belleville Avenue.
An eyewitness to the crash removed the keys from the ignition.
When police arrived they arrested Silva, who is charged with operating under the influence of alcohol third offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating with a suspended or revoked license, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
