New Bedford Man Arrested, $6k in Fentanyl Seized
NEW BEDFORD - A New Bedford man is arrested and an estimated $6,000 worth of Fentanyl is taken off the streets.
New Bedford Police carried out a search warrant around 8 a.m. Friday morning at an apartment at 156 Garfield Street. Inside the home, police found 84.6 grams of Fentanyl, 17 bags of marijuana, digital scales, and packaging materials.
Police arrested the occupant of the home, Andrew Talavera, 24.
Talavera has been charged with trafficking in Fentanyl and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Talavera also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
