It's been 20 years since I graduated from New Bedford High School. I knew this day would come and it feels so strange.

I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that my high school years were not great. I was pretty much the outcast until I finally came into my own senior year. Even then, it was extremely awkward. I was definitely the opposite of the "cool kid."

Some of my strongest memories of high school were being made fun of or picked on for being different. I'm not going to lie, though. Some of the best life experiences that I learned from happened during that time as well, my radio internship with Fun 107 being one of the best decisions ever. I took that internship and turned it into a career that has had me on radio stations in multiple markets across the country.

So, why would we go to high school reunions when some of us would like to forget those years of our lives?

For some, it's to reminisce with people we haven't seen since high school. For others, it's to gloat about how we "made it."

I wonder if the night will be made up mostly of fake compliments:

"Oh, my god, you look amazing."

"You haven't changed a bit."

I came from a pretty big class, so I have a feeling the reunion will be fun regardless. Still, I'm nervous. Will it be just like high school, where all the cool kids sit together and get clicky?

There's only one way to find out.

I'm going. That said, tell me, did you attend your high school reunion or pass on it?
