The Academic Bowl was established with the intention of inspiring academic achievement, promoting a spirit of friendly competition, and encouraging good sportsmanship among students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

This event not only provides a platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills but also creates a unique opportunity for them to connect with peers from various schools. Through this interaction, students can forge meaningful friendships and build a network of support, all while showcasing their academic talents.

The students from New Bedford High School have invested tremendous effort and dedication to reach this significant milestone.

Their hard work, collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment to their academic pursuits have culminated in this impressive opportunity to represent both their school and their community on such a respected stage. Their achievement is a reflection of not just individual talent, but also the collective support and encouragement from teachers, families, and peers who believe in their potential.

As they prepare for this competitive event, the support of the SouthCoast and encouragement is strong as these talented students compete in the Academic Bowl next March.
