New Bedford Family Faces Emotional Uphill Battle

On Saturday December 14th, my friend Richie Pedrosa, and his wife Sue were given the worst news a parent could get. Their 20 year old daughter Brittney was involved in a very serious car accident on Route 140 on Saturday and has suffered some major injuries.

On Monday, Brittney had to undergo surgery to remove part of her skull in order to reduce swelling. She remains in a coma but is responsive to her family and friends in the form of movement.

As her family struggles with this tragic accident right before Christmas, a fund raiser has been setup to help the Pedrosa family with expences as they stay at the Ronald McDonald House next to the Rhode Island Hospital and are currently not working due to the circumstances.

The fund raiser is being held at Crossfit In Dartmouth on Saturday January 11, 2014. The event is $20 per person and all proceeds go to the Pedrosa family for living expenses and medical bills

There will be a 50/50 raffle as well, and the workout routine  will be posted soon
The workout is designed for everyone even people that do not do Crossfit.
If you don't want to be a part of the workout but still want to donate money, any donations will be gladly accepted.
