Tonight is the night that so many top prospects and fans have been waiting for. The NBA draft will get under way at 8 o'clock.

This year's draft class has been one of the most anticipated in years and boasts a strong group of top flight athletes. It is uncertain, though, who's going to go number 1, overall, with guys the likes of Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid for grabs.

For all of you local basketball fans, the Celtics have two picks in tonight's draft, both in the first round. Yes, they sit at picks number 6 and 17 and have a great chance to add some much needed scoring power and athleticism to the roster.

I look for the C's to make a big splash at number 6. If guys like National Player of the Year Doug McDermott and freshman phenom Julius Randle are still on the board, I can't fathom a situation in which they pass on both. Also, there's been slight buzz that Embiid, who for a while was almost a lock to go number 1 overall to Cleveland before having to undergo foot surgery, might slip into their hands. If that happens, I wouldn't be surprised to see them make that move. A couple other guys to keep in mind are Aaron Gordon, who would bring some needed athleticism and big time scorer, Marcus Smart.

There is always the possibility that Boston swaps one of their picks for more, like they've done in the past.  I think it's unlikely with their first pick but maybe they'll deal the 17th pick to get another piece or pick for next year, if whoever they wanted is not around anymore. With that said, I don't see them leaving the first round tonight

To find out what the Celtics and the other 29 teams, on the clock tonight, do, be sure to tune into the draft tonight at 8, on ESPN.
