‘The Office’ Star B.J. Novak Spotted Courtside at Celtics Game

Another day, another celebrity sighting. It seems as though everyone is showing their love for the Boston Celtics this season.

Another Celebrity Joins Celtics Courtside Trend

Mark Wahlberg and a few of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island were spotted courtside this year and now another name can be added to the list: B.J. Novak.

If you're not familiar with his name, you may be familiar with his most notable role. He played Ryan Howard in the hit NBC show The Office for all nine seasons.

Seeing Novak sitting on the parquet floor isn't a complete shock for fans like myself who know The Office star has local ties.

B.J. Novak’s Massachusetts Roots

Novak is one of the many former cast members who grew up in Massachusetts. He was born in Newton and attended Newton South High School with castmate John Krasinski.

Spotted at TD Garden During Celtics Win

Novak showed his support for his hometown team on Sunday, April 12, at TD Garden. While sitting courtside, he received a warm reception from the fans and watched the Celtics defeat the Magic, 113-108.

Subtle Nod to The Devil Wears Prada 2

He also made a subtle nod to his upcoming role in The Devil Wears Prada 2, wearing a hat featuring the phrase "Wicked Cerulean" with the color displayed as well.

For those who don't know the reference, the color cerulean is noted in a famous scene from the first film.

Novak thanked Anne Hathaway in an Instagram post, sharing that she gifted the hat to him, adding "wicked" as a nod to his Massachusetts ties.
