Muslim Mosque Planned For Fall River

The Muslim population here in the Southcoast area will have a new place to worship in the future. A group of doctors has purchased a vacant building in Fall River and it's reported that it will be converted into a mosque.

According to heraldnews.com, the Muslim doctors have bought the former carpernters Union building located on Bedford Street. The union moved out of that building at the beginning of this year.

There are currently 16 Islamic mosques in the Bay State. The only one in the  Southcoast area at this time is Masjid Al-Ehsan in Dartmouth. The mosque is located on Cove Road in opened in 2014.
