October 12 is International Moment of Frustration Scream Day and no, it wasn't just invented.

Years ago, Thomas and Ruth Roy, founders of Wellcat Holidays, organized the day and celebrated by inviting all citizens of the world to go outside and scream for 30 seconds in order to give everyone an opportunity to get their angst out.

Little did they know that 2020 and 2021 would serve up two such wildly stressful, anxious year that people all over the world would quickly make everyday Moment of Frustration Scream Day whether they realized it or not.

Shouting and screaming have long been used to relieve stress and are often touted as ways to battle stress and anxiety. It's natural, it’s healthy, and for some people, it's a part of their day-to-day routine.

Some people set aside time to scream in a controlled way every day to help themselves feel better, the same way people make time to meditate each day, or exercise to reduce stress. Sure, screaming can earn you some funny looks and in the wrong place, cause quite a bit of alarm.

Here are some of the recommended places where you can let a good, loud, and hearty scream that won't have anyone wondering if they should call the police.

Happy Moment of Frustration Scream Day, fellow stressed people. I hope we all feel better when it's over.
