Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon Teaming Up for ‘Legally Blonde 3′

Time to stretch, ladies,��because it's time to bend and snap our way back to theatres, thanks to Mindy Kaling.

She's an actress, comedian, writer, and producer, and Mindy Kaling is ecstatic to give the world Legally Blonde 3. The movie has been on the table for a couple of years, but now that Kaling is locked in to help with writing, it's officially in motion.

It's been 19 years since we were first introduced to Elle Woods, the sorority queen-turned-lawyer, and now we will get to see what she's been up to all these years.

You can't have Elle Woods without Reese Witherspoon, and she is totally on board for the role. Kaling spoke with Good Morning America and said, "I have been working with her on a couple movies, and we've been friends for awhile and I have always quoted the (Legally Blonde) movies to her... she'd love to revisit this character."

I speak for all who feel comfortable using legal jargon in everyday life that Elle Woods returning to the screen will be a breath of fresh air. When the first movie came out, I was eight years old and thought Elle Woods was the coolest girl around. Not only because she was beautiful, dramatic, and outgoing, but because she was brave enough to enter a world that was clearly unfamiliar to her in order to get what she wanted, only to discover her true potential as an educated, headstrong woman.

Now, we get to see what Elle Woods has been up to thanks to the brilliant mind of Mindy Kaling and the eagerness of Reese Witherspoon, and I'm really excited to see Kaling's comedic mind come to life in this film.
