Marion’s newest eatery has given us a bit of a sneak peek of what we can expect, and has also announced that Cast Seaside Bites & Bar will be opening the first week of April.

Cast is a sister restaurant of Ella’s Wood Burning Oven Restaurant in Wareham, which for the past 15 years has become one of the area’s most revered restaurants under owner/chef Marc Swierkowski and owner/manager Bree Swierkowski.

Cast Seaside Bites & Bar takes over the spot previously occupied by the Mary Celeste Whiskey and Wine Library, which closed in August 2022.

Back in January, we showed you some of the work being done to renovate the interior of the restaurant.

Now Cast has given us a look at the finished product with a photo posted to its Facebook page.

According to Cast’s menu, the new restaurant will offer lunch and dinner service Wednesdays through Sundays from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

There’s no menu posted as of yet, but the Cast Seaside Bites & Bar Instagram page did give us a preview of a dish we may expect to find on it.

Also, “oyster shuckers” are one of the many positions the restaurant is currently looking to hire, so you can probably bet there will be a raw bar, too.

Ella’s Wood Burning Oven Restaurant has been introducing Chef Swierkowski’s cuisine to Marion ahead of Cast’s opening with Ella’s Too, a food truck that has had a successful launch on Cottage Street.
