Linen Pants Are the Most Underrated Summer Clothing Item

“I didn’t know we were going to a pajama party.”

That is what came out of Greg’s mouth when he laid eyes on my beige linen pants last summer. I’m usually rocking jeans and a blouse or a T-shirt, but I had just attended mass with a friend and I wanted to dress a little nicer for the occasion. At least, I thought I was dressed up until he told me I looked like I was going to a pajama party.

I knew he was going to have something to say since I wasn’t wearing my staple jeans or a sundress. I wouldn’t consider myself a very fashionable person, but I liked stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something different. I get compliments on those pants all the time! And I swear they are the most comfortable clothing item I own. I wore them to a bachelorette last year and all of the girls were jealous that I was wearing breathable material on a hot summer day in Boston. And yet, I still looked put-together. By the way, how cute are we in those Friends-themed shirts?

I recently met up with a friend who also happened to have linen pants on the same day as me. After gushing about how they’re wicked comfy, she said that someone else had said something similar about these pants looking like pajama bottoms. Honestly, I don’t get it. I love these pants so much that I just bought two more in different colors. A classic black and a striped burgundy.
