As the summer comes to a close this year, there has got to be a few things left you'd like to do with the kids before school starts.

It never fails. Every single summer, there's always a handful of things we didn't get to do with the kids that we had hoped to do. This summer? Same. We did get a fun week with the kids in New Hampshire and did a ton. We also had a handful of days where we picked something fun to do, like Water Wizz, Cape Cod beaches, Dave & Busters and also the Funz Jump Park in New Bedford.

But there are still a good number of activities we will try our best to cram into the last two weeks of summer vacation before school starts for us on August 27.

The Cape Cod Inflatable Park located in Yarmouth is at the top of our list. We went two summers ago and the boys LOVED it. My husband and I enjoyed it too because we got to grab an umbrella table and an adult beverage while the kids slid, jumped, bounced and played for a few hours. It was the perfect win-win, if you know what I mean.

Seekonk Speedway is another fun stop that we definitely want to do before the end of the summer with the kids. This is something we've never done with the boys and know they will love the NASCAR races. The Speedway has a cool NASCAR event happening over Labor Day weekend that includes a fireworks display that we will most likely attend.

Back in the spring, I wrote about this amazing outdoor water park in Connecticut that I promised myself we would go to this summer. Ask me if we've done this yet and I'll pretend I didn't hear you. Never mind my kids, I want to do this so bad! It is the Super Park of water parks because it has so much to offer: zip lines, cliff jumps, inflatables, paddleboards and the list goes on. Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park is located in Portland, CT and is open through September 2.

Whatever you end up doing these last few weeks of summer with the kids, focus on just being with them and enjoying them. These years of them being young are going by way too fast for me. I'm cherishing every minute.
