Need some back-to-school sports supplies? Looking for new running shoes? This is your time to shop the SouthCoast's Olympia Sports store locations before they shuts their doors forever.

You read that right, every SouthCoast Olympia Sports store is going out of business and when they go, so does every location for the New England sports store chain within a 50-mile radius of the SouthCoast.

WBSM's Barry Richard first reported the closing of the Dartmouth Mall location last week, but a deeper look showed us they weren't the only ones. Another 41 Olympia Sports stores from Maine to Pennsylvania are closing and that includes the last seven locations near us.

Sadly, this is not the first time Olympia Sports has shut down SouthCoast shops. Back in November 2019, they announced that Fairhaven, Brockton and Taunton stores were going out of business along with 22 other Massachusetts shops.

Now, three years later, another round of closures is coming according to SB360 Capital Partners, a Schottenstein affiliate out of Needham that describes itself on Facebook as "one of the leading firms for services to retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers of all sizes" and these closings seem to mark the end of this 46-year-old company.

Every single store that is on the closure list is going out with a bang. Deep discounts and major sales are happening across the board. Some inventory is already 40% off. A silver lining to the sad news of another retail chain shutting down.

So, if you are in need of sports equipment, team gear or just want a cheap hoodie, here are all the SouthCoast Olympia Sports stores closing their doors in the coming weeks.

Sad news for sports fans losing more stores for gear and merchandise. Maybe one day this company can stage a comeback like Toys 'R' Us has managed.
