LAKEVILLE (WBSM) — First responders are some of the bravest people who walk into unknown circumstances hoping to save a life everyday. The weight of their many experiences can be overwhelming for even the most resilient responders.

For the Lakeville Fire Department, however, they were able to be part of one family's story by helping to deliver their baby girl, Annabelle.

On March 25 at 3 a.m., firefighters received what they say was an urgent call to respond to a Lakeville residence for a woman active in labor.

The department said responders arrived and a newborn baby girl, Annabelle,, had been delivered a minute before the first medic entered the home.

In a statement on Facebook, the department also shared that the parents were rock solid and very calm throughout the entire experience, which made things very helpful for everyone.

On April 6, the Delisle family visited Lakeville Fire Department to thank the firefighters who were all involved in that life-changing moment.

The department thanked the community for its support, allowing them to be ready for moments like this.

Stories like Baby Annabelle's arrival remind us of how incredible our first responders truly are, assisting with every need no matter how big or small.
